My SEO Journey: From Admin Work to Local Search
I’m a Junior SEO Specialist with around 7 months of hands-on experience, mainly focused on helping small businesses show up and stand out in local search. My background includes optimizing over 50 Google Business Profiles, keeping NAP details consistent, managing 80+ citations a month, and doing foundational keyword research and technical SEO checks with tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
Before shifting into SEO, I spent over 6 years in administrative roles, drafting contracts, managing data, and supporting day-to-day operations, which taught me how to stay organized, handle multiple tasks, and adapt fast to new systems. I’ve also used CRM tools like -----------, Jira, and HubSpot to help keep projects on track.
I’m still early in my SEO journey, but I’m genuinely committed to growing in this field, especially in local SEO, technical audits, and content optimization. Right now, I’m working on improving my skills in WordPress and tools like Yoast SEO, and I plan to take more courses on content writing and on-page SEO to add more value to my next team.
What I love most about this work is that there’s always something new to learn. I know I don’t have everything mastered yet, but I’m not afraid to ask questions, take feedback, and keep pushing myself to get better every day. I appreciate teams and managers who are open to guiding junior talent while giving us room to prove ourselves.
I’m currently open to remote or hybrid SEO opportunities, and I’m excited to help businesses build their local presence and reputation online. If you’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, I’d love to connect.
