I had worked as the Senior Paralegal and Litigation Manager of a prominent law firm in the Philippines for more than three (3) years. After that, I had worked as a Paralegal for two (2) years in a US-based law firm specializing in family law, criminal and traffic matters, and probate cases. Over time, I had developed the necessary skills and abilities, verbal and written, that made me an indispensable part of the company.
As a Paralegal, I am proficient at the following tasks:
a. Drafting and preparation of pleadings and motions, together with their annexes;
b. Ensuring a proper and timely filing of pleadings and motions in the appropriate tribunals, as well as service to other parties;
c. Updating the calendar of the legal counsel based on the reglementary periods of certain pleading and motions;
d. Validating certain information on clients, opposing parties, and their respective counsels, as well as contacting witnesses for the preparation of their statements; and
e. Conducting thorough research relative to the case being currently handled.
Lastly, owing to the fact that I have four (4) years or more than 80 units of legal education from a prestigious Law School, I have ample knowledge of civil, criminal, and administrative procedures and requirements for filing and service of pleading, motions, and other documents.
