I am CPA-Lawyer specializing in tax and corporate law. I represent clients before the Bureau of Internal Revenue for tax audits and other tax cases. I am also trained in corporate planning and restructuring. As such I am knowledgeable in the preparation of corporate documents required by government regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Philippine Economic Zone Authority and other Investment Promotion Agencies.
Before I became a lawyer, I was employed a CPA for six years. This exposed me in the field of financial accounting. I am well-trained in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. I am also experienced in preparing ad hoc financial reports required by the management and government regulatory agencies. In my earlier job, I dealt with the bookkeeping of day to day transactions and preparation and filing of tax returns.
As a lawyer, I am knowledgeable in the preparation of pleadings and other legal documents. My experience as a CPA has also allowed me to learn faster the intricacies of taxation and corporate law.
