My most recent role is as a BIM Modeler for the redevelopment of a five-storey public market in Carbon, Cebu City, Philippines.
My primary responsibility is to develop, update, and manage the Building Information Model (BIM) using Autodesk Revit. The BIM model serves as a key reference for the site construction team, allowing them to visualize the project accurately and resolve construction concerns before execution.
My responsibilities include:
-Creating and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models.
-Assisting the construction team by navigating and presenting specific building areas within the BIM model during coordination sessions.
-Participating in weekly plan reviews by comparing design drawings with the BIM model to identify inconsistencies and potential clashes between structural and MEP components.
-Preparing Requests for Information (RFIs) to document identified issues and coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants from various disciplines.
-Attending design coordination meetings to discuss project progress, site concerns, consultant feedback, and client-requested design revisions.
-Producing AutoCAD drawings, including connection details, shop drawings, and setting-out drawings.
-Performing quantity takeoffs and material quantification to support bidding and procurement activities.
