I am currently seeking a remote opportunity as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Healthcare Virtual Assistant, Pharmacy Support Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Insurance Verification Specialist, or Clinical Support Assistant.
Throughout my pharmacy experience, I have worked closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers while handling prescription and medication-related concerns, patient counseling, pharmacy documentation, inventory management, insurance verification, and claims-related processes.
I have experience managing clinical insurance gatekeeping and real-time claim eligibility verification for major providers, including FijiCare and BSP Health. I have verified patient eligibility, reviewed policy coverage and limits, calculated accurate co-payments, and processed insurance information through digital portals to support smooth cashless transactions.
I have also handled formulary compliance by reviewing prescriptions against insurance-approved medication lists, identifying exclusions, and helping prevent claim rejections. When prescribed medications were not covered, I coordinated with prescribing physicians regarding alternative covered therapies and supported the prior authorization process.
An important part of my role has also been communicating insurance information to patients. I regularly explained coverage limitations, out-of-pocket responsibilities, co-payments, medication coverage, and claims procedures in a clear and professional manner.
