I have 6 years collective experience as a paralegal.

My recent employment was with a US based firm specializing in Family Law - divorce, custody, and adoption, among other things - as a virtual paralegal. I was trained to draft petitions (such as initial pleadings and marital termination agreements), affidavits, motions, update their cases through their case management software, coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing attorneys, and do discovery and asset debt sheets. I was also tasked to review contracts, agreements, and conduct research on laws and other relevant materials connected with a case.

In addition to my experience as an online paralegal, I also worked for a law firm based in the Philippines for 5 years wherein I was tasked to draft affidavits, pleadings, and position papers in relation to cases handled by the partners in the firm.

I also worked with the government of the Philippines conducting research on legal issues, reviewing documents; and formulating policies which affect the transportation system in the metropolitan area.
