I process prior authorization requests and send it to the doctor's office to ensure that the medications are delivered on time. I am also responsible to help resolve common and complex insurance and copay rejections by researching multiple databases and by calling the plan and copay to ensure that the claims are paid correctly . I also set up patient orders, create charts and update patient info, send fax requests to doctor's office if prescription refill is needed or if there's a need to clarify on the prescription.
I communicate through outbound call to patients, insurance, copay and doctor's office for timely follow up.
