I have been in the practice of law in the Philippines for 13 years. Majority of it was spent in private practice, mostly litigation, and includes writing pleadings, legal opinions, and other legal documents, representing clients before courts and quasi-judicial bodies, and research. I also had an experience as an in-house counsel for an insurance and investment company with various subsidiaries. For the past 4 years, I served as a legal officer for a government agency that caters to indigenous peoples, doing policy and advocacy work and assisting IP clients in their legal concerns. I also had a writing job for a U.S.-based lawyer specializing in immigration.
