I am Joaquin Miguel Navas, a driven and resourceful recent graduate from De La Salle University - Manila (DLSU), where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Commercial Regulation. My educational journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in political science, coupled with a nuanced understanding of commercial regulation.
During my academic tenure, I actively pursued real-world experiences through internships that enriched my knowledge and skills. I began my journey as an academic intern at the Makati City Local Government Unit, where I served as an aide to Councilor Rebo Saguisag of Makati City District 1. This role allowed me to gain invaluable insights into local governance and community engagement.
Subsequently, I had the privilege of interning as the personal assistant to the Executive Director of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The UAAP is the premier collegiate sporting association in the Philippines, comprising the nation's leading universities. This experience exposed me to the dynamic world of sports management and event coordination on a grand scale.
My commitment to leadership and community involvement extended to my active participation in DLSU's university student government. I held key positions within the student government, serving as the Chairperson of both the Research and Development Committee and the Legislative Affairs Committee. These roles allowed me to actively shape the university's policies and contribute to its overall ----------- addition to my academic and extracurricular pursuits, I am a passionate advocate for the emerging field of web3 technology. With a keen interest in cryptocurrency and NFTs, I am well-versed in the intricacies of decentralized finance and the blockchain ecosystem. My expertise in this area positions me as a forward-thinking professional ready to navigate the evolving landscape of digital assets and blockchain technologies.
