I am Christa Kyriae M. Escano, a BS Forestry student of senior standing at the College of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. I am currently in the Environmental Forestry Stream, focusing on wildlife management and entomology. I have experienced on-field resource characterization and assessments on our campus through various forestry courses and a terrestrial vertebrate survey in Mt. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape and Buhi Wildlife Sanctuary. I also take an interest in management, research, and conservation efforts in Philippine protected areas and marine estuaries. My interest in applying stems from my desire for simultaneous self-development and relationship establishment. I am a firm believer that connecting with people from various walks of life is the key to the betterment of anything, be it oneself, a field of study, or a community. This platform enables me to expand my network and explore new opportunities that would benefit my journey to becoming a competent and resourceful future forester. This opportunity serves as a means for me to present myself to a much broader audience and showcase my skills in leadership, communication, and management at an international level. I manifest that the community would benefit from what I could offer them, both in terms of responsibility and connection.
