Been on the industry for almost 5 years and acquired different experiences all throughout this journey that helps me develop and hone various skills - Facilitation, Team Management, & Communication. Facilitating challenges me to assess my learners'\participants' knowledge if I'm effective on what I do. Team management and Communication helps me to interact effectively with others' different perspectives.
Facilitating is what I'm always passionate about and it encourages me even more if I see the progress of the individuals that I've worked with. During pandemic, it showed that I could pull off not just a face-to-face interaction but a virtual meetings as well. Zoom was a friendly and easy to access platform in general that makes our training experiences smoothly. Both visual and audio wise.
Team management has been part of the crucial and success in my personal and professional life. By working close with other, It taught me to be able to achieve more than I could alone. As a leader, collaborations under my supervision managed to exceed our goals. Especially meeting the timeline of the agenda of our curriculum.
Communication is the key in every aspect, to my perspective, I must say. It's not about how fluent or native speaker you are but its about how you're able to express yourself and convey your thoughts that maintain strong relationship both personally and professionally. In my case, as a trainer, asking questions with certain during the discussion to help my learners understand more the topic has always been in my house rules.
These are the skills that I'm focusing on to do better on my craft on a daily basis, both on personal and professional setting.
