I believe that my education, experience and determination may qualify me for the position. We have recently moved back to the Philippines from Australia where I worked as a nurse educator for the last few years of my practice in Australia.
I started as a Registered Nurse in Australia in 2015 after finishing my Australian bachelor’s degree in 2014. My acute clinical experiences were in intensive care, emergency medicine, infection control, stroke, neurology, oncology, hematology and renal. While my sub-acute and primary health care experiences are in community health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, infection control. I was also involved in various roles of education such as aggression management and infection control.
In 2019, I was able to secure a position as a diabetes nurse educator for Northern Adelaide Local Health Network- South Australia and was part of the team until March 2023. In December 2021 until June 2022, I became the clinical nurse educator for a short term contract of SA Pathology Service, a statewide pathology provider to the public sector of South Australia.
After our return to the Philippines I have felt the desire to continue my career in education and thought of pursuing this with my first university which is Angeles University Foundation. I would like to share to aspiring nurses the knowledge and experience I have gained overseas.
In regards to my educational attainment, I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with AUF and a Bachelor of Nursing with CDU. My post graduate studies are in Public Health in 2019 and Primary Healthcare (Diabetes Education and Management) in 2022. I also completed an online diabetes course with the National Association of Diabetes Centers.
