Hello! I'm a 22-year-old first-year medical student currently on a leave of absence to take a year off from education and explore how my life skills would apply in different fields. My journey has been marked by diverse experiences that have shaped my character and abilities.
During my time at De La Salle Lipa, I immersed myself in various leadership roles within the student community. Serving as an Executive Secretary in the Student Government, I learned the importance of effective communication and organization. Additionally, my role as a Student Body Representative in the college's Discipline Board and Discipline Panel honed my skills in conflict resolution and decision-making.
In my program's organization, I took on the role of Recreational and Social Director, where I spearheaded initiatives to foster a vibrant and inclusive community among my peers. One of my most memorable experiences was leading as the event head of the biggest college event, which required meticulous planning and coordination over several months.
Beyond academics and leadership, I actively pursued my passions for physical and mental well-being. I maintained a balanced lifestyle by frequenting the gym, indulging in exhilarating motorcycle rides, and unwinding with PC games. My involvement as a semi-professional in Valorant collegiate esports further showcased my competitive spirit and ability to lead under pressure.
Moreover, my dedication to academic excellence was recognized through nominations for the Leadership Award and Best Thesis in my college. Alongside my colleagues, I presented our group's research, earning us the prestigious title of Champion in the 3-Minute Research Challenge grant.
I believe in seizing every opportunity as a chance for growth and learning. Each experience, whether in academics, leadership, or leisure, has contributed to my personal and professional development. As I embark on this year-long hiatus, I am excited to explore new avenues and continue evolving as an individual.
In conclusion, my journey thus far has been a testament to resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge. I am confident that the skills and lessons I've acquired will serve me well in whatever path I choose to pursue in the future.
