I am a dedicated and detail-oriented professional seeking the opportunity to contribute my skills as a Medical Virtual Assistant. I bring a solid foundation in medical knowledge and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare services. My experience includes call handling as an Account Receivables agent, calling insurances about patient’s claims. Faxing an appeal when its needed. With knowledge and experience handling Notice of Admission, submitting authorization via insurances website, like Blue cross Blue shield, Humana, Aetna, UHC and Cigna. I am adept at managing confidential patient information with the utmost discretion and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
I started my career as an Account Receivable Representative, handling outbound calls to follow up on patients’ claim statuses with insurance providers. I was later transferred to the Notice of Admission account, where I managed the submission of authorizations through different payer portals such as Availity for BCBS, Humana, and Aetna plans, as well as UnitedHealthcare and Cigna plans.
After three years as a Notice of Admission Representative, I was promoted to Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, I audited processed accounts to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with client guidelines, and timely filing of claims and authorizations. This experience helped me strengthen my attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of healthcare processes and insurance workflows.
I’m now looking for an opportunity where I can continue to grow professionally while contributing my experience in healthcare operations, quality assurance, and payer authorization processes.
