I am a Registered Nurse both in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. In February of 2024, I got hired to teach in a university as a Guest Nursing Lecturer. My basic tasks include preparing and delivering lectures, and facilitating discussions to student nurses. To make it easier for the students to follow and understand the topics being discussed, I prepare course materials such as syllabi, lecture presentations using Canva, and handouts. In addition to this, I prepare and administer examinations to evaluate learning, grade students' class works, maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records. Prior to teaching, I worked in Saudi Arabia for six years as the Infection Control Nurse, and was tasked to lead the Nursing Department as well, while I was also assisting in Dental Surgery and Implantology. I used to facilitate training for the newly-hired nurses, to be involved in nurse staffing, scheduling, and evaluation, to assist in monitoring of strict protocol in prevention and control of the risk of acquiring and transmitting infection among the patients, staff members, and visitors, and to coordinate with the management regarding all the concerns of the nursing department for better function. I also experienced working as a Medical Liaison Officer of a Health Maintenance Organization (Health Insurance) for four years where I managed to assist and explain the plan coverage to members who were currently admitted in the hospital, and submit to the company a detailed report of all members admitted and discharged from confinement. Because of these roles, I have become adept at taking multiple tasks, and learned various skills at the same time.
