With a year of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant for a US-based law firm, supplemented by a preceding career as a Digital Content Editor for LexisNexis, via Reed Elsevier. Recently worked for a start-up company based in Texas, reviewing hundreds of leads per day and real estate properties all over the United States.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies. With great passion for local literature and research, my group pursued research studies on a mountain's local legend call Pinihakang Daraga (Split Maiden).
With a strong passion for not only the local culture, the diversity that I embraced in these early years of my professional life helped me grow as an individual. I am hoping to continue the trajectory of my career in the right direction.
Credentials are important. However, I believe that there must be a nuance in knowing the value of these achievements and utilizing them in a way that is not solely for personal gain, but also something useful in society. Approaching the waters of building a career in this day and age, I find myself curious for opportunities that will help me grow even more into the individual that I want to become.
As a paralegal/legal assistant for a law office based in Minnesota, I learned quite a lot about Social Security Disability law despite being in a different country. This work requires not only just grit but also, a lot of empathy. One's work is very important in contributing to the continued well-being of another person. My work allowed me to be more compassionate and understanding of other people whose experiences are very different than mine.
With this in mind, I am inclined to believe that there will be a place for me to belong somewhere career wise. I am leaning more towards something that is related to law, finance, technology, and new fields to explore at best.
I love a good challenge and I am always eager to learn something new.
