I've spent 15 years working across IT support, technical training, and — more recently — data analytics and cybersecurity instruction. Right now I teach two things side by side: how to read and visualize data (Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, Python in Google Colab, Excel), and the fundamentals of security operations — threat detection, network monitoring, and incident response.
I hold ISC2's Certified in Cybersecurity, Google Cybersecurity, and Fortinet's Associate in Cybersecurity certifications, and I'm working toward moving from teaching these skills into applying them directly — starting at the Tier 1 SOC level. Before this, I spent over a decade running IT infrastructure (networks, servers, databases), so the technical ground under the newer certifications is built on real years, not a recent pivot.
I'm currently open to relocating to Ireland or elsewhere in the EU for a Data Analyst or Junior SOC/Cybersecurity Analyst role. Happy to connect with recruiters or hiring managers working in either space.
