Hi, my name is Lady Beatrice Picache. I’m a Registered Nurse in the Philippines. Previously, I worked as an Assessment Nurse in a private clinic, where I coordinated prescriptions for patients on maintenance medications by verifying physician orders, coordinating with pharmacies, and following up with patients to ensure timely fulfillment and adherence. I also managed lab orders and guided patients to complete requirements accurately and on time.
More recently, I work as a Clinical Genetics Nurse Coordinator at the National Institutes of Health under the Institute of Human Genetics. In this role, I coordinate enzyme replacement therapy by aligning treatment schedules, preparing patient requirements, and ensuring all pre-treatment labs and clearances are completed. I also manage patient scheduling and follow-ups, conduct thorough chart reviews, and track pending items to ensure continuity of care. By proactively monitoring each patient’s progress and addressing gaps ahead of time, I ensure that treatments, consultations, and necessary interventions proceed smoothly without missed steps.
One example of how I make sure nothing falls through the cracks is through a tracking system I built. I maintain a monthly database of patients due for follow-up, which includes their contact information, reason for referral, and required lab work from previous visits. I developed this from my post-consultation summaries, where I log all relevant details into a year-long spreadsheet and also providing a one-page document for patients to review after their visit which includes all the referrals the doctor has ordered, prescirptions, lab requests, and when will they be seen again. This ensures that the patients are reminded of what they need to do and to facilitate communication so that they understand what needs to be done. Because of this system, I already have patients lined up for follow-ups without needing to go back through charts one by one. Before each consultation, I proactively contact patients to confirm they’ve completed their required labs. If not, I reschedule them to a later date. This ensures that every consultation is productive, avoids delays, and prevents redundant visits.
I’m very detail-oriented and consistent with follow-through, especially when managing multiple patients and workflows. I’m also available to work from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, which is 9 PM to 5 AM Philippine time and I am also available during Saturdays.
