I am a registered nurse by profession both in the Philippines and the US. I am currently working as a medical scribe for a renowned podiatry institution based in the state of Washington in the US. My role is to transcribe medical information from real-time patient encounters using an Electronic Health Record with accuracy involving the care plan and medical history of the patient. On top of this, I also do administrative tasks which involves data-entry from patient referrals to ensure up-to-date information such as HPI, medications, surgical and social histories. Furthermore, I have a solid back ground on medical prior authorization requests and basic knowledge on medical codes such as CPT and ICD-10 that are crucial in the world of medical insurance. I worked with one of the biggest medical insurance companies as a customer advocate building authorization requests for both Inpatient and Outpatient settings spanning half a decade.
