I didn't start out as a VA. I spent over a decade doing the actual work — managing people, handling money, running operations, fixing problems before they turned into bigger ones.
At Sitel I was handling 80+ customer contacts a day. Not reading from a script — actually solving things, de-escalating frustrated customers, keeping quality scores up. At Sun Life I managed a book of 300+ clients for five years and kept records without a single error. Then I ran my own café from the ground up — inventory, staff, suppliers, social media, cash handling, all of it, just me.
That background is what I'm bringing into e-commerce VA work now.
I'm currently transitioning into this space and I'll be straight with you — I don't have paying e-commerce clients yet. What I do have is a solid foundation in operations, customer support, and admin work that maps directly onto what e-commerce store owners need day to day. I'm actively building sample work on Shopify and Amazon, and putting together automation workflows in Zapier and N8N that I can walk you through.
