Medical Scribe – Primary Care (Brooklyn, NY)
I work as a medical scribe for two primary care doctors in Brooklyn, New York. My job is to help with patient documentation and support the doctors during both in-person and online visits.
Before each patient visit, I use a system called eClinicalWorks to prepare notes. I check the patient’s medical history, medications, and past test results to make sure the doctor has all the important information ready.
For online visits, I help connect the doctor and patient using a platform called -----------.. During the visit, I listen carefully and write down the patient’s complaints, symptoms, and reason for the visit. I also document the doctor’s findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
After each visit, I make sure everything is written clearly and saved in the system. I help with medication requests, lab and imaging discussions, and make sure every patient is seen and taken care of that day.
I also assist the doctor in reviewing diagnostic imaging. I open the Lenox Hill Radiology website to view the patient’s scans and help explain the results during the call. I take notes while the doctor discusses the findings with the patient.
My role is to make sure the doctor has accurate records and that patients receive clear communication and proper care during every visit.
