I worked as an Internal Auditor for a multipurpose cooperative, where my main job was checking financial records for accuracy: reviewing financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, matching transactions to receipts and vouchers, and reporting any discrepancies before they became bigger problems. That experience gave me a strong, practical foundation in how bookkeeping actually works, not just in theory but in the day-to-day details that make books accurate.
I'm now transitioning into virtual bookkeeping. I'm currently developing my skills in QuickBooks Online, and I'm confident with Excel and Google Sheets for reconciliations, tracking, and basic reports.
I don't have paid VA experience yet, so I'm being upfront about that. What I do have is real accounting background, strong attention to detail, and the discipline of someone who has already handled financial and confidential data responsibly. I'm looking for a client willing to give a motivated beginner a chance, and I'm open to a short trial task so you can see my work firsthand before committing.
