- Search for and identify ways that tax burdens can be reduced through qualified credits, itemized deductions, or claimed operational expenses;
- Assist, in the event of an audit, proceedings, or suits, filed by the IRS or a state/local tax collection agency;
- Advise on the legal, business, and tax implications of different business decisions, such as incorporation, new partnerships, mergers, or acquisitions;
- Assist with the proper reporting on distributed funds as the result of profit distributions, capital gains and losses, and retirement distributions;
- Ensuring business operations and procedures comply with statutory regulations and policies;
- Provide support through studying and documenting client’s existing processes and procedures and checking compliance with governing laws on taxation;
- Provides support through preparation of reports with the client’s work program;· Deal with relevant government agencies and offices, as necessary.
