A bit more about me: YES — I ditched the carbs. :)
For most of my life, I thought obesity and metabolic issues simply “ran in the family.” I was overweight for years, constantly tired, and honestly in denial about my health. In 2019, after getting concerning lab results — and with a family history of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease — I knew I needed to make changes.
That same year, I discovered low carb and intermittent fasting through a friend. I started learning from local and international practitioners, joined communities, watched videos, and slowly changed the way I viewed food and health.
Two years later, I had lost over 20 kilos (40+ lbs), improved several health issues, and eventually maintained this lifestyle long term.
Because of this personal journey, low carb and fasting remain personal interests that I naturally connect with because I’ve lived them myself.
