DESIGN PROJECTS COMPLETED---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-> Thesis: Design of a Plant Monitoring Interface and Control Module for Hydroponic Farming, August 2016–March 2017
Considered to be the hardest design project to be passed in order to graduate, this project utilizes every mathematics, applied science, and engineering principles that we have learned from 5 years of education on TIP. This project utilizes a lot of components and the four members were split into four areas of labor: sensors, power supply, connectivity module, and Android application. I was in charge of implementing the sensors correctly into the system and I was also in charge of documentation for the whole project. This project had gone through several defenses and it was even pitched during the ECE Roadshow.
-> Design Architecture: Communications Systems in a 10-Storey Building, March 2017
This project allowed me to apply the skills necessary for designing a communications system in a building using AutoCAD. Using a few sample CAD plates as bases for the project, I contributed by designing the Fire Alarm and Detection System (FDAS) for the building as well as its corresponding Riser Diagram with all of the components being connected around a central Fire Alarm and Control Panel (FACP). This project allowed me to gain necessary skills for designing a system as an electronics engineer.
-> Design Project: Sigma-Delta Modulator, October 2016
Despite having some difficulties in doing this project, our team was able to complete the circuit required for this project. This project involves creating a modulator that adds and subtracts signals together and I was in charge of documentation for the whole project.
-> Design Project: Manchester Circuit, September 2016
This project further expanded my arsenal of learning when it comes to digital communications. I realized that the theories and rulings explained in the book can actually be put into practice by using a few ICs. I contributed by making documents out of it.
-> Design Project: Sample-and-Hold Circuit, July 2016
Despite being a project for a 5th-year student, this project was basically construction of a circuit. However, the output is verified using an oscilloscope because the circuit's function is about the apprehension of a sinusoidal signal. As part of the graduate attributes, I learned a new competency skill and I included it in the documentation of this project.
